Lyft hires Drivers with no depth perception

I almost died with one of your drivers today and now my neck is sore. I called and the Lyft sends me an email saying they talked to their “highest” department, but since I didn’t actually die - There’s nothing they can do for me. They won’t even refund the trip. The woman was driving around steep curves in Idaho and told us as she almost drove into the lake that “she doesn’t have any depth perception.” How does this woman have a license?!

Please don’t ever use LYFT - They do not care about safety or their customers!!!

I am a lyft driver planing to switch to…

I am a lyft driver planing to switch to Uber. This company has worst customer service. I was sent to customer and when I picked up customer, lyft app was too slow to update arrivel and then trip was cancled due to technical issue while customer was in my car. I took the customer to her destination safe and sound. When I called lyft to get paid, lyft refused to pay me even though they acknowledged that I completed the trip.

It 12 miles trip.

I am still waiting my money!

Lyft needs to get drivers who are familiar with the area and stop taking the long way around a simple route my experience full stop!!!!!!!! If You don’t know a area buy a good gps dumb dumb!!!!!!!

All around horrible

The app is not very good. First off it asked me to put two cards in for the same billing address..
I don’t know about anyone else but I personally do not carry two cards on me. I tried adding my partners card as the “security card” after already adding my card as a payment method and it wouldn’t take it. Even when I tried setting it to default.
All around the app is a let down. And it’s very hard to find Lyft drivers that I’m not worried will kidnap me.
I’m not at all impressed. Ended up going to Uber because they have an app that can actually be navigated.

Booked ride-no one showed

I booked a ride at 8:30pm to pick me up at 11:45pm for a 10 min drive down the road. Lyft said the ride was booked. No one showed. No notifications. Nothing. I was left stranded.

Lyfte is robbing people blind don't use that ride app! They rob customers and the drivers! They don't even have a call center! Theives!Thrives! My ride was 32 dollars and they charge two of my accounts and paid the driver 12 dollars smdh crooks I'll never use them again!

A+ Service at DisneyWorld but Beware of Excessive Rates

Only used at Disney World and they are wonderful. A dozen cars, all clean, all courteous and prompt. Only complaint is they always try to charge 3 times the price when we come back from somewhere. Not drivers fault, more of a scam from company. So we switch to Uber. But their cars are dirty and often have overwhelming cigarette smell. Must depend on loca location but every time we use them at Disney World it's A+ Service and we choose them over Disney Bus Service!

Canceled after booking

Drivers always cancel when the trip is short. They make you wait and then cancel. The last the driver made me wait 40 minutes and he won’t cancel or come to pick me up.
I had to use Uber instead.
There is no value for your time with Lyft.

This company is a danger to the public.

This company is a danger to the public.
At approximately 12:19 p.m. September 14th 2022 I was picked up from 721 West colonial drive and taken to 232 Orange blossom trail by a non English speaking driver not aware that I was supposed to be brought to my home in Cocoa Florida.
The non English speaking driver concluded everything by saying get out or take with me on a translation on his phone that I had to read.

The driver did not confirm anything except for I had to get out on his translation I immediately called Lyft and they told me there was nothing I can do and I was stranded.

Over $180 to get home.
I have given them my written notice of intent to sue to their corporate office through certified mail.

I hope other potential patients and/or clients know this is not a service I would recommend I am in more need of medical care and no means of getting there.
Lyft drivers that do not speak English should not be driving.

Dear Lyft Support. Am so depressed right now, I was unjustly accused and with that my account got deactivated. I wish some one could get back to me and listen to my side of the story. I picked up that passenger from her house and i dropped her to her destination. She refused to get out of the car saying that that was not the location she had put in. I immediately reported this to lyft and i that caos trying to ask the customer to get of my car because she had refused to get out. I recieved a request from another customer and i accidently accepted it. I immediately called the lady and explained the situation to her but she was not happy i asked her that i may need to cancel her ride so that i can deal with this first and she said no she needed to go somewhere immediatley. I didnt pick her with another customer in but i called her and explained the situation and asked her if she could kindly request for another ride. It took me like 25 minutes to sort the situation and i contacted lyft. Please help me i dont want to deactivate my account i love working for lyft.

They randomly out of the blue deactivated my account. This was there explanation. We found your account to be violating our Terms of Service and you will no longer be able to use the Lyft platform. I can honestly I have not violated anything so clearly there is something wrong with there information but the worst thing is they dont even tell you what the problem is. Oh well guess take my business to uber instead.

Please report it as soon as possible to lyft. That's the only way they will know that a problem like this happen. The way I look it, your passenger has acted fraudulently... setting a wrong destination so that she can complain for refund. And of course lyft will refund coz they will rely on the route set by your passenger.

Do drivers get a signing bonus? If so how does it work?

A:

Lft runs different promotions and depending on promotion they promise a signup bonus(500-1100$). Now if they really pay the bonus it's totally up to their discretion.in my case they didn't pay. I completed the 60 Rides required in the first 30 days, which was the requirment to qualify for the bonus but they still didn't pay. After a brief email exchange with a lyft employee(they do not give their position or full name) they stopped answering. Now I am filing a complain with BBB and I will let you know where it goes when I have updates.

I hope you haven't started doing this. Reading the reviews I can tell both Uber or Lyft are shanty style of business. It was very surprising that new generations with ultra modern technologies has no concept of human factors in their business model. The drivers are simply robots to generate revenues to them. I drove Uber for two months and couldn't take their lies and manipulation. Please don't waste time whether it is Lyft or Uber. You won't even make one tenth of the minimum wage while taking all the insult and humiliation.

A:

You made a sound decision. Anyone who can maintain two dollars of checking account balance it is not worth doing. Driving for ride sharing business is the last resort for desperate people. Some reason the misleading hype has spread out of proportion nationwide.

If you do sign up, just to give it a try. I suggest trying it during daytime when there isn't much traffic and see if you like it. It isn't for everyone I am sure.
